My name is Ceri Lou, the artist behind Tropicool Studio. I’m a self taught illustrator from Scotland, half raised in Canada, currently living between Cape Town and Indonesia.

I’ve lived an unconventional life, traveling, sketching, and surfing in remote corners of the world for over 12 years, a path that naturally led me to illustration as a full time career.

My work is an extension of my lifestyle. It draws from surfing, jungle and ocean life, and a deep connection to nature. My style is distinctly hand drawn and human-made with a playful, naïve, and down-to-earth essence.

I love working with specialty coffee shops, tropical hotels, food and beverage brands, and wildlife expedition companies. I’m especially drawn to clients who value character and originality over predictable, generic commercial illustration.
