A Pricing Questionnaire for Artists
As a self-taught illustrator, I’ve often found it tricky to know what to charge for commercial work. Pricing can feel like a mystery, and I know many other artists feel the same. To help, I’ve created an open, anonymous Creative Transparency questionnaire.
The goal is to share insights while keeping responses anonymous, so you can compare situations without judgment. I ask for details like follower count to build a loose profile of respondents, but nothing personally identifying.
Once you complete the questionnaire, I’ll manually upload responses to a shared Notion page so everyone can see how others navigate pricing, projects, and clients. My hope is that it supports artists, encourages community, and opens up conversations about pricing rather than competition.
